I agree with @ca_worth. I use score lines around the engraves and most of the time that prevents the paint from bleeding into the other areas.

This is especially helpful when using the dr." somebody" inks. Geez I cannot recall the name and I"m nowhere near the bottles.

I usually use regular masking, then when I paint before removing it bleeds onto the material that was engraved

Paint first with clear and let dry then it will keep the color you spray from bleeding
