How not to get screwed with acrylic

Glad to see I’m not the only one that uses my backhoe for things other that just digging.

The challenge with getting the Tormach down the bulkhead is A) it is insanely heavy, B) it is fragile and C) it doesn’t hang level from the lift hook (the larger ones have a level lifting rig, the 440 just has whisky to calm you down after lifting it at that scary angle…)

You are much braver than I. Your setup is quite nice.

Yeah, it was a bit hairy. The rear bucket was at the weight limit for the hydraulics, and you had to be really gentle lowering it so it didn’t jerk the backhoe off the ground.

Ohhhhh! I totally need both that access and the backhoe for getting large woodworking tools down to my basement shop!!! Going though the house and then a double back staircase is painful! Also why I decided to downgrade some tools like a 6" vs the 8" jointer I really wanted ect.

I saw somewhere pictures of someones shop who removed the floor in the house to make a removable doorway with a winch to lower tools down, I am not there yet…
