Hi all. One of the projects I have had on my list for several years is to create a series of Stainglass windows in my house. I have for half round windows that will be perfect. I have designed a sort of family crest, each one highlighting a member of my family.
I’ve never done Stainglass, but it is on my bucket list. But now that I await my glow Forge, I wonder how I could make this job easier. Would it look good in acrylic, I ask? It won’t need to be insulated As i will be putting it on top of the glass half round window. But I don’t wanted to look cheesy, and I don’t know how colored acrylic will come off. I also don’t know what material I will use as the joints so it will hold and look like the metal used in Stainglass. Oh, if only our laser cutter would cut glass. How ridiculously cool would that be?
Any advice from you creative people?
Thank you very much!
