i cant even have the door down? that’s going to seriously hamper my staff engraving that i’ve been planning.
There are magnetic sensors that tell the GF that the top lid and front door are closed, which is required for safety. There’s a safety interlock, preventing it from operating unless the lid and front door are closed.

Wait till you try to engrave something really irregular. If the GF decides that your material isn’t the correct height, it simply won’t proceed. I really wish they’d release some of these safety settings, there are valid use cases.
