Very cool. What’s happened to Laser Thursday?

Or was this it?

It’s always Thursday somewhere! Oh wait…

Love it! What’s it made of? Would LOVE a little BTS info on this.

looks like a two-color acrylic product to me, but I could certainly be wrong.

Yeah, after posting it, I saw the shadows and realized that. Id be interested in their process still.

Yes. This is so cool. Although I just loved the ethic of the blue taped 8 1/2 x 11.

Looks awesome! So sleek, I’m loving the font!

How did you transfer the letters to the background? Would be cool to see a WiP wright up

Yep, the transfer/assembly process is of interest!

Really simple, if a bit time consuming: we engraved all the text on the blue acrylic. Then we cut out the white pieces, accounting for the laser kerf so they’d be the right size. Then used acrylic cement to load them in place in the engravings.

Beat the inkjet printout we had taped to the door last week.

There were, of course, outtakes, courtesy @matt .

Hahaha. I love that. It’s what I thought. Engrave lightly so you have a place to stick them to. Thanks for clearing that up.

Oh, that’s genius. So the etching was to get your placing in the right place? Cool!!!

Love the outtakes… Way to go @matt

That’s cool, why didn’t I think of that?

This is like learning to think with portals.

Just for comparison.
