I have the smaller ipad pro (v2) for work, and based on that, my big 2019 splurge was the large size 2018 ipad pro, with, shall we say… *** plenty *** of storage (and as a result, 2 extra GB of RAM).

The iPad version is particularly nice with an Apple pencil. 
You kinda have to learn the whole thing all over again, because you’re having to control things with swipes and finger gestures instead of keyboard and mouse. It’s pretty intuitive, though!
