Did you flip the cut insert over? If you flip it over you get the angled kerf and it is probably more accurate.

The fact that the design engraves the logo on the “top” side means most people will just use it as cut, not flip it for a more accurate result..
I’ve added “OTHER SIDE UP” to mine in order to make sure if I ever use it, I do it right. Because I won’t remember otherwise..
