Really neat looking! so does the front part rest somewhere, or does it sort of float out in front of the face? I’m trying to imagine it being worn and it seem like it would be front-heavy… am I missing something? or does the headband really hold it up by itself?

It floats out in front and yes the headband holds it up. It is just 1/8" MDF and it is very light. The cutouts take away most of the weight. It is actually really comfortable.
