That is very cool. I had not considered joinery for a non-wood project. It’s an interesting rabbit hole.
A few more views of Prototype 1. It’s more “polyhedral” than “bean-baggy” because the bottom panels are polygons rather than curved and unrolled surfaces. I want to revisit the “polyhedral” idea after I figure out the basic design at 1:1.
This is the coolest project! I never knew what a pouf was, so I learned something.
Another fastening method could be to join pieces with Chicago screws, but you’d have to be made of money to do that I suppose. And screwing all those screws might not be much better than stitching, aggravation-wise.
