Sounds like a good set of noise cancelling muffs or earbuds might be a good investment. I guess I’ll be getting some more use out of that Turtle Beach headset.

By changing density layers (different materials layered/wrapped) around the vent tube, you can address the different sound frequencies and loudness.
I want to say that doing the most dense closest to the tube and then working lighter different materials as the layers progress will first help mute the higher frequencies (vacuum whines) and then deaden the lower rumble harmonics from vibrations.
