Trotec is a laser manufacturer, and their videos are great. Yes, you can use dish soap in place of masking acrylic in your Glowforge. Just rinse the soap off after cutting.

Sorry, I should have looked up the topic first. Sometimes the most obvious things stare right at you and you miss them. The joys of an ADHD mind lol. I was reading the post and “poof” I suddenly remembered that I still didn’t know the answer.
