Yes you can but you may have to do a search here to see if anyone else has uploaded settings, or better yet, experiment a little to get the feel of things with the machine. Running some tests on a scrap piece is your best bet for any material you plan to use.

It should cut like butter, especially as basswood comes in a 1/8" PG material - so start your testing there
