We have another storm due Saturday. Figured I needed to get back to it!

Looks like the whole thing will have cost me about $1000. Not bad for a 10’x15’ work area.

Most of us just had to provide a table and the place for it. You had to create a room for the table for the tool… :disappointed_relieved:
I spy a ridge vent, how do you plan to heat it? And what plans for other equipment to swallow your time?

Are you planning to add power, lights and heat?

What are you looking to use the area for?

Oh this is going to be my small shop for wood working and a space to let things cure. No ridge vent, the roof just isn’t finished yet. I do hope to add a CNC Mill to the space but for now it’s just my basic power tools.

The glowforge has a nice big desk I built waiting for it in my house.

I do plan on power and lights. I have some old fixtures I’m going to throw in there. I also hope to find a small wood stove(or just make one from scrap pipe at work).

Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

That is beautiful wood. I like the shape of your bowl. The shape of bowls was something that I always had trouble with when I used to turn wood. As I was looking at your pictures, the first question that I wanted to ask was what type of wood, since I did not recognize it, but then you listed it at the end of the post. Beautiful job and thanks for posting. :grinning:

Really like the geometry, what finish did you use? Nice work, thanks for sharing!

Not sure the brand. It was a high gloss friction polish they had at Rockler. Worked wonders😋

Not bad at all for a self-professed “wood butcher”. Ha (I like that and will likely pass it along) ha

Beautiful work, wonderful grain of the wood

Yes I agree! The wood grain is beautiful on this particular piece of wood!

Unfortunately only Mother Nature controls that aspect :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Definitely true! Though I think it takes skill and vision to recognize the natural aspect, and to figure out how to enhance and/or showcase it.
