When I was working with Blender, I found it was more mountain range than mountain. There are so many parts to it, and while each part is a challenge there will be many parts you will not use. If you are 3D printing for example there are areas in textures and animation you will not use, and making virtual stuff there was stuff that gave impressions but would not show up if 3D printed.
Hmmm, this one no longer shows up in the Addon Manager, so it may not work with newer versions - but I’ll try adding it manually as that would be a total win!
*Edit
Unless I’m missing how I’m supposed to use this, it looks like it no longer works in 1.0
I have been using 0.21.2 but, I just downloaded and installed 1.0 RC2 to try. It picked up my existing installations of workbenches and macros. I ran the BoxCreator macro with the defaults and, it makes the expected box for me.
The LCInterlocking workbench also has a built-in box creator that looks exactly like that macro’s. It also worked running with the defaults on 1.0 RC2.
That’s on MacOS, though.
I installed 1.0 RC2 on a Windows machine. The macro crashes with some complaint about a call to some library. I’m not really prepared to dig into that right now.
The LCInterlocking box creator looks different on Windows but, seems to be working. This version doesn’t seem to auto-generate the tabs but, that’s what the rest of the LCInterlocking workbench does.
Not sure if that’s of any use but, I was curious and, thought I would share what I found.
