I was pleased with the outcome, but a close look proves that the fit isn’t perfect. Close enough that nobody will notice in person; however.
To answer your question, no, I didn’t make any adjustments for ‘slant’.

In certain applications, I cut the inlay backwards so the slant fits perfect.

Just noticed that I failed to mention the dark, outer, acrylic ring in my original description of materials. It’s 1/8”, transparent, gray acrylic from Inventables.
