The United States of Wood

But…where’s black walnut???

Gotta have black walnut somewhere, it’s…it’s just the best.

I live in Ohio (Columbus, in fact, home of the Buckeyes), and I rarely see a buckeye tree off OSU campus, let alone work with it. But there’s walnut EVERYWHERE here.

I nominate black walnut as our new state tree.

Some states have two state trees.

Ooh, UDF malts – my favorite is peach when the UDF peach ice cream is in season, but their black walnut is pretty special.

I like this plan.

There was a guy we used for custom cuts in Evergreen, but I can’t find his info. I did find this in Boulder though, might be worth a shot.

Yes, this primarily concerns unprocessed wood. I was unable to find a comprehensive listing, it is up to the individuals to check with their state about restricted woods.
