Using the passthrough for thicker materials

Sometimes I agree… I should be able to buy a new, dead cheap, very lightweight car with no heavy safety provisions stealing the fuel economy and handling and messing up the power-to-weight ratio… but then again, I don’t think that seatbelts and airbags should only be available to the weathlier buyer who can afford the “safety” package.

I don’t think glass-tube fuses are losing popularity because of their bullet-firing potential. Blade-type fuses are much easier to identify, safer to replace, and less prone to corrosion. Besides, the fuse-holder .22 wasn’t lethal…
