I read on one of the groups I am on that that is exactly why this one seller sells on Etsy but puts the link to their non-Etsy store where they have different merchandise and supposedly a bigger selection. Somehow didn’t make it stand out (in the FAQ or something?) They said they would figure they would get taken down at some time so they wanted to get customers used to their other site too. (Think it was on a discussion about someone trademarking passages from the Bible if I recall correctly).

That’s a great idea. Or even sending a coupon in a follow-up message and providing the website info in that.
I can’t believe people are trademarking passages from the Bible (and being allowed to do so).

Good idea on the follow up message. 
I know, I couldn’t believe it either…but the name was posted who was doing it and screenshots provided of the contact.
