Clipper top layer is Proofgrade Cherry Veneer. Details painted with acrylic paint and finished with a topcoat of Minwax Paste Finishing Wax to seal/shine.
(Caution: buffing too hard removes the paint … lesson learned).

Yes, I like the ribbon also. Nice job.
By accident I cut instead of engraved the two pieces that are painted black, hence having to mount to a backer board. However, it was much easier to fetail the two pieces then glue them in place. No need to worry about painting in the lines.
