that turned out great. what are you doing to clean up the wood after the engrave? are you getting any warping?

Hi, I use nailpolish remover! And water as well!

It bends when doing it but straighten when dries!

Never had problem!

Even using water to remove the dirty bit!

Did you use the proof grade 3d settings or did you tweak it?
That looks wonderful.

I’ve used :proofgrade: on this occasion.
Didn’t tweak anything!

That’s really amazing!
The crosshatch pattern in your deepest engraves… Is that part of the design or laser artifacting?

I would say it’s the laser lpi, not the design !

i’ve also noticed that when engraving plywood, you often get results inside the core(s) that are less consistent with smoothness.

Nicely done - did you use hardwood settings?

Thanks!

Do you think you can share a picture of the artwork? I am trying to do 3d engraves and seeing the levels of dark to light would help me I think. Thanks

@cordioli I’d also love to see the original file! I’ve been working on some 3d engrave stuff and just haven’t been able to get anything to come out looking good. Would love to explore your file and settings.

Also, I posted about these cartouches:

Could be adapted for frames easily, although they aren’t true 3d engraves.

It’s against forum rules to ask an artist for their artwork.

WHOOPS. My apologies!!

Nah. Just gotta figure it puts people in an awkward position… Either they give away their hard work, or they’re forced to feel like a jerk for saying “no.” It’s lose/lose for the artist.
