3d Flag Star

Currently working on making a wooden Tx flag for a friend and wanted to make it standout with the star being 3D. You would be surprised how hard it is to find template to work with. In the end just made my own. There are two files below that have the star in it. One is the latest version, if you need and older version just ask, of Corel draw since that’s the program I work best with and a exported version in SVG.

In each file there are two complete stars. The blue outlined pieces are set with a 0.1mm kerf already added in. The Red/Green ones are the original with no kerf and are colored to make it easier to see you have all the parts.

When printing/assembling the last pair on the far right is mirrored from the rest so when you assemble it all the burn marks will be on inside or outside; depending if your using contact paper or not. Enjoy

Diameter is ~7in

The finger joints line up better than I expected, this looks really good! Thanks for sharing both the technique and the file.

Plenty of trial and error to get the silly thing to sit flat. Lol.

The one in the photo has hot glue underneath just cos it was getting shown off and it leftover wood. How ever you could take two if them back to back and hot glue fairy lights all inside. :exploding_head: WHAT?!

A bit of acrylic, and a bit of playing with the design and you have a first class Christmas tree top!
