Based on the positive feedback I’ve received with my bear and moose, I decided to create an elk using the same theory.
This 6 layered Elk is 10.8" wide and 10.2" high. I’ve made this one using mahogany, walnut, cherry and maple 1/4" plywood.
An extra file has been added to accommodate 1/4" and 1/8" wood. The only difference between the two is the size of the holes in the base.

I do believe this Elk is perfectly captured with 6 layers
