@tjones - looks like you had a lot of fun celebrating National Ice Cream Day! Some pretty wild combinations there, although I admit that we don’t go out for ice cream, and I usually stick to the standards. Love your little gifts from your fellow organizers, especially the plushie! How long did the entire trip take you?

E we started at 10:30. Stop 9 was at 5pm, and then stop 10 was at a friends house and that lasted from 6 to 9-ish. We added game night to the stop 10 buffet.

We did get to stop despite being on the road, and I got to try a lovely strawberry, and a new-to-me banana pudding flavour

I got a stomach ache looking at all the ice cream. I was glad to see it, though.
When I was in high school, I worked at a local I’ve cream shop, the only one in my town. I enjoyed it so much because I had a great boss.
She had an all-you-can eat ice cream policy at work. I never thought being lactose intolerant was a blessing until then. After a few years of working there, my coworkers were unrecognizable, while I luckily stayed the same.
I used to take a cup of ice cream home sometimes after my shift and keep it in the freezer for days i wasn’t planning to leave the house.
My favorite flavors were Playdough (colorful sugar cookie dough in yellow ice cream) and Blue Moon…i will never know how to describe it, but I’ve only every had it in Michigan. My grandparents used to take my siblings and I to a place called Dean’s, for Blue Moon ice cream. When i told my old boss, she ordered it for our shop, too.

When I was a kid, my grandparents would take me to Dean’s in Plainwell for a scoop of Blue Moon once a year. So it was pretty special for my siblings and me.
I just googled the flavor and I was surprised you can buy it in a carton now.. not here obviously, but still interesting.
