A good cleaning

I’ve only had my glowforge for a couple of weeks but the inside is covered in soot. I mostly notice it on the tube which I can hardly see through anymore and there is a layer of soot on the sides. What are you all using to clean this out? I was thinking of using something like a micro vacuum kit. Five bucks. Anybody use anything like this? Do you wipe down the tube? Does it matter?

I purchased one of these fifteen years ago. Cheap ‘n’ cheerful, but does the job!

This is what was recommended to me to wipe everything with. It’s the same as the wipes that were in the GF box. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GPVQVCO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use my shopvac and a vinegar/water mix on everything except the lenses (including the tube). Cleaning the tube is not necessary for function and Dan has mentioned that they rarely if ever clean them at the mothership.

Zeiss wipes on lenses and distilled white vinegar and water, using a soft cloth, on everything else.

Yea, but my kids LOVE watching the laser fire, so keeping the tube clean is a must!
