A little Christmas gingerbread(mdf actually) house

Hi everyone, I don’t usually make functional stuff but since it’s Christmas, I got myself motivated to try some scoring and engraving. Here is a project made on 3 sheets of 5.5mm mdf. It’s about 10.5" by 8.5" by 10.5". There is no glue so it can be taken apart to save space in storage.

As soon as I uploaded the pictures, I realized the front door looked a bit off centered

Just a good reason to cut another one

Nice design. I really like the hinged roof.

Now you have me thinking.

So nice that you’ll be able to take it apart for storage. Great thinking!

Oh, that’s cute. And it might be useful for storing holidays supplies you need near the tree, like ornament hangers, spare light bulbs, etc.

Like filling it with candy or small presents :grinning:

A nice piece! Seeing the bottom picture I see a great place to hide a lift handle. Rather than taking it apart to put away, it is a nice container itself to put other stuff away.

P.S. I use a bit of hand sanitizer on a paper towel to wipe away the stain caused by cutting or engraving.
