A little tinkering with inlays

Lesson 1: don’t start with really small inlays…

This is only 3/4" high, resulting in some seriously tiny pieces. a couple fell through grate.

I scored and engraved the image on walnut, then pressed in purple heart veneer. Takes a bit of patience to sort it all out, but not bad for a first attempt.

Looks good. The little bits can be challenging.
