A Simple Lantern

Made this from patterns cut by the Glowforge in 1/4" Maple and Cherry and then inlayed with epoxy.

One very nice thing about UV setting epoxy is that you can leave it sitting flat for days before putting it under UV making sure it has finished setting in rather than rushing to be finished before it sets.

My lamps in the catalog could make very interesting cases for this.

Also bakery parchment will not stick to anything and is shiny.

Dark is okay but normal daylight has a UV component that will cure the resin over a number of days (faster in direct sun, slower inside away from windows). You have to be careful where you put it if you’re counting on extended cure times.
