Abhorsen Bell Box

I love the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix, so I designed this little hexagonal box to show the Abhorsen bells. With a battery votive they light up so well. Cherry plywood and bronze mirror-backed acrylic. No glue used.

Great choice of materials to showcase these designs.

The choice of votive really makes a difference… warm makes the bells look gold, cool makes them look silver, and multicolor makes them look AWESOME, lol

These were before I had the kerf completely worked out, so there was some light leak :frowning:

I like that you added a panel into the lid. It gives a very polished finish.

Oh, what a lovely design! And the color variation of the lighted bells is an added bonus.

This makes me want to read the books again. It’s been such a long time, I don’t remember much other than I really enjoyed them.

He’s expanded on them with several more books, and they’re just as good- and a new one about Sabriel’s parents is due any day now
