I know what you mean, will have to look for creative solutions to a rather avoidable problem hehe.

I knew a guy who was making money making trips to Europe. He would go to Germany where gull wing Mercedes were not uncommon and so had a much lower value than in the U.S. So he would find one, buy it and drive it around Europe for a few months and then ship his personal car home, where it would sell for perhaps ten times what he paid for it, and as his personal vehicle the import duties were minimal.
This opportunity did not last for long but he got a few European vacations out of it.

Customs and duties too.
Or see if you can set up a P.O. BOX or mailboxes r us just inside the USA border and have it shipped there. If you are near the border.
