Adding an image to a sponge

Hello,

Hoping I’m posting in the correct place. Has anyone had success adding an image on the scratchy side of a sponge? I believe the material is polyethylene mesh. Was wondering if anyone had any success with this and what would be the best settings to use to get this done. Thanks so much!

if it’s actually polyethylene then you can do it… but it’s more likely to just melt than engrave well.
