Affinity Designer for iPad and Mac

I want to work with different softwares.

Currently I have Adobe Illustrated on Macbook Pro.
I also have Affinity Designer on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil

Should I get Affinity Designer for my Macbook Pro?
Will AD on Mac work wth AD on iPad? For example start a project on either and finish in the other.

Yes, all three platforms use identical files so simply save your files to the cloud like dropbox or the like and edit on whatever you are in front of.
