Looks great, but I have a suggestion. Since you are planning to drill a hole for the clock mechanism, put a deep engrave mark in the center of the hole to help prevent the drill bit from wandering away from the center.

Good ideas, I did a cut and multiple passes at the edge of the hole, but didn’t go through
