Animals & Miniatures

My first post here, I’ve had the Glowforge for about 3 weeks. Mostly purchased it to make 1:12 scale miniatures but now my mom who is an animal artist is obsessed with it. She keeps sending me her drawings to etch. She might actually know more about the Glowforge than me without owning one.

The first photo is one of her cat drawings, the 2nd is a 1:12 scale apothecary cabinet that I made. I can’t believe the tiny dovetails that I can achieve!

I love the woodcut effect on the cat.

Totally obsessed with the apothecary cabinet. Do you sell your work somewhere?

That’s quite a small achievement! Nice work.

I mostly sell dollhouse building supplies (pre made) on Etsy & Ebay but hoping to add more handmade items now that I have the GF

Gorgeous – how tall is that cabinet in real life?

The cabinet is about 6 1/2" tall, so in real life it would be about 6 1/2 feet

Ah – I guess the bigger question is what ‘real life’ means anyway! (I was asking about the size of the laser cut model, but both are interesting.) This is so cool, and wonderful work!

Oh my…that cabinet is exquisite!

That cabinet is amazing!!! Love it :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:
