Annual Fish Caught

I made my grandchildren all ‘books read’ this year signs so I decided to make my husband a ‘fish caught’ one as well. He crappie fishes a lot in the winter. I’ve enjoyed seeing him come home and he goes right to this to adjust his number caught. Great conversation piece when we have company as well. “It’s the little things in life!”

Cute! Do you have a pile of spare numbers for the adjustments, or does he let you know so you can update it?

I love this! I’m also curious about how numbers are updated.

I’ve seen some designs that store the extra numbers behind the stand.

I have 3 numbers of 0-9 so he can catch 999 this year  there’s a spacer between the front and the back where the numbers ‘slide’ in…

That would be a very good year, indeed.

I think he might decide to try to accomplish that and go even more! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

What a fun project! You’ll need to take a picture at the end of the year to compare how he does, which may be a good or a bad thing depending on how his fishing goes. Do you eat the crappie or catch and release? We love crappie, but have yet to catch any, or any fish for that matter!

My entire family (except me) loves fried crappie so they never go to waste! My kids will cook them but they like for dad to clean and de-bone them…which he does…

I crappie fish anytime I fish. Oh wait. That’s crappy.

I love your design, that’s cute!
