Just for the record, the “man card” jab at myself was just a joke. I love wild flowers. You can’t live in Texas and not. The three or four weeks each spring when they all bloom turns Texas into one of the most beautiful places on earth, so beautiful in fact we’ll put up with a scorching summer and freezing winter just for the chance to see them again 
I even know quite a few of their names, thanks to my sons’ 7th grade science teacher and the pressed wildflower project she always makes them do.
