This is a Lasered model of my 3D Printed Lens Tool I have on Etsy you can cut right on your Glowforge with 3mm (1/8") material. I personally think my 3D Printed (Plastic one) is a better quality and will standup longer than this wooden one, but this will do the trick if you need something quick. This will require 8 ea. - 5mm x 3mm and 2 ea. - 5mm x 2mm magnets. These can be purchased on Amazon, just make sure they have good reviews on strength. You could use all 5mm x 2mm magnets, you just need to be careful inserting them on the Remove end so they stay flush since the material is thicker than the magnets. Just put some extra glue in the holes in the remove end.

Bless you for the instructions. I seem to often try it backwards first. When there are only two ways of doing something, it always takes me three tries.

Indeed! I saw an interview with one of the engineers, and he discussed the issue of fit. Less than 50/50 chance of getting it right the first time, and a significant likelihood of “third time’s the charm!” But it worked and it was cheap.

Oh my; lost 3 lens tools? I’ll bet they are hiding within 10’ of the Glowforge, snickering at you every time you walk by. Well, that’s what mine did to me.
So close, and yet so far away.
