This one is so obvious that it might not be obvious.
I’ve been needing to measure inside things where a 6” ruler, calipers, or a tape measure just won’t fit.
The Glowforge solution is just to make a measuring stick, or several as needed.
You can use any number of online ruler programs on the interwebs, or everything is already in the GFUI.
Here is a sample of each. To do it all in the GFUI, just make a rectangle as long as you need and tall enough for some text. Add the length with the text tool, and bam!
With no kerf compensation, this one is a whole 0.003” short. I need to be within a 32nd, so that is fine.
