The balancing design used the Inkscape Center of Mass and Area calculator to adjust the wing size relative to the body size.
Hope it balances OK if you make one.

My dad introduced me to this many years ago. He had a “belt holder” that was sort of shaped like a musical note. When you put a belt on it, it balanced off the edge of a table/shelf. Of course, I had to find out why. Might be one of the reasons I ended up a physics teacher.
