Bambu Lab H2D - dual-nozzle 3D printer, plot, and (diode) laser cutter

3D printing capabilities have some significant upgrades:

  • build volume +100mm
  • dual-nozzle to reduce filament swaps
  • AMS can dry filament
  • adjusting vents control chamber temperature

An upgraded version adds a plotter and diode laser head (2 power levels). While it’s an interesting feat of engineering, I don’t think I’d want laser gunk in my chamber. Norm at Tested calls it “legs on a snake”.

I like the idea of the AMS drying filament, but not really interested in the other stuff.

Yeah, I love my laser. I love my 3D printer. But I would never want to expose my 3D print to the mess that comes from laser cutting…

I am very interested in H2D and may look at getting one when they first go on sale. But, I am not interested in the laser add-ons.

Isn’t that a dragon? We love dragons.

Dragons have wings and (4) legs so that would be a “Why not both” scenario :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Apparantly, “Pip is a flying, acid-spitting snake, or an Alaspin Minidrag/Mini-Drake …”
