Base 10 Tiles

With an effort to do something with the scrap laying around from other projects and being a teacher that helps other teachers, I have created a simple base 10 tiles set. It should be set up so the grid inside the 100 square and the lines inside the 10’s stuck, are separate from the border so they can be engraved, or scored separate from the cutting of the boarder. Please let me know if its a classic, it worked on my end but not yours. Happy counting.

Here are both the SVG and the AI files.

Thanks for sharing but color me confused. What are all these tiles used for?

They are used to help students visualize numbers for learning basic maths concepts.

They used to be fairly common when I was a kid but I haven’t seen them in schools over here.

It’s for math. I made some for my kids when they were younger when i was teaching them basics. They are really good for visualizing place value. My daughter didn’t understand place value, so basic math was difficult until i made these.

I made a version for glowforge’s catalog a while back too. I have a picture in there that shows an example of a way to use them.
