I want to make some harnesses and costume style things. Anyone have experience with faux leather that looks real?
Faux leather is typically code for PVC, which is toxic to your laser (and not great for you, either). You can find some laser- safe faux leather at JPPlus, but I’m not sure it will give the effect you want. It’s called the Saddle collection and there are sheets available. JDS Industries also has leatherette that’s laser friendly, but you need to be a member to shop there.

Does anyone by chance have settings to engrave this JPP leatherette? It so thin everything I try is too deep!
Settings I used for MY specific Glowforge Pro so YMMV
