Hey guys! What’s the best program for making up your own SVG patterns? Thanks in advance!
Whatever program you have and know how to use.
SVG is one option, if you can’t output SVG use PDF for your vectors. Bitmaps can be JPG or PNG if you’re just engraving.

Can’t say that there is a best program since folks have different values and metrics to make a choice like this.
Free and powerful: Inkscape
Paid and most used: Illustrator
Not too expensive and used often: Affinity Designer
Paid, tried and true: CorelDraw.
