I made myself a little sign that says “Blast Gate” that I put on top of the glass when I close the blast gate. That way when I fire up the machine I’m reminded to open it. Kind of like the “Remove before flight” ribbons pilots use for various flight control covers.

That was the intention anyway…it requires me to remember to put it on the glass which I thought wouldn’t be hard but apparently it’s not so easy to remember to put it up on the gate when I open it :slightly_smiling_face:

Getting old can suck :grin:

Not for a blast gate, but for the TV antenna on our RV. I engraved a small tag that hangs on the crank handle that raises it up. I have to remove the tag to put the antenna up, so I hang it on the steering wheel where I can’t miss seeing it when we’re ready to leave. I had driven off way too many times with the antenna up.
