I’ve been playing a fair bit of Catan lately, and it had me thinking about what I could make with my Glowforge that could be used within the game. First, it started out as a cool replacement for the robber, but now I’ve replaced the robber altogether and ditched the sundry desert with THIS:
I used proofgrade walnut, basswood, and draftboard to create a 3D mountain with trees hex with the two pieces of draftboard being what sits bigfoot on top of the mountain. The bigfoot itself is two pieces of walnut hardwood glued together to form a 1" x 1" x 0.25" piece that could stand easily and fit well inside the mountain. I’ve even included a printable PDF with custom rules to add a twist to any game of settlers.
