Thanks for the prompt reply! Could I ask just one more question - what thickness of acrylic did you use?
Chuckle! That was a couple years ago, but it looks like Medium (1/8") to me now.

The slot in many of those standard LED bases is 4mm (at least all the ones Iāve seen), the shape at the bottom of the piece is important to āwedgeā the sides in if you donāt want a taller design to flop around. The sides are slightly tapered so it only goes in a few mm before being nice and solid.
It will still light up just fine if you donāt make it a snug fit.
