When we were in Hawaii, I used to turn pens out ofā¦wait for itā¦koa. It makes the most beautiful pens and turning pens is almost a zen experience. Just you and the lathe. A lot like riding a motorcycle.
Is that tricky to do on a medium sized lathe? I mostly do small bowls so farā¦
Not really, as long as you can bring the tail stock close enuf to hold the mandrel, abou 10-12ā.
