My former college roommates are visiting South Carolina this weekend, and I created this bowling trophy for them to compete for. We were on a bowling league in the late '90s, and did more drinking than we did bowling. None of us really care about bowling, but it was a fun group activity when we were in college. Thought it would be fun to have a little competition and a prize for them to win since they are visiting from all over the country. This trophy uses a combination of acrylic and wood, with stainless standoffs, and a 3D printed bowling pin. I love being able to use multiple making machines to create something custom and fun. Blue House keglers will be back in action this weekend!!!
That is really awesome.
Very nice design on that! Looks like LED standoff posts?
That’s a great trophy. Hope the winner doesn’t get a hangover!
Wow! Nice!
I love it! Congratulations on making a great trophy and for maintaining friendships over the decades. Both are admirable.
Just regular stand-offs, no LED.
Beautiful AND fun!
I absolutely love that! I can imagine the competition for it will be fierce! It would be funny (but also sweet) if YOU won it!
That looks really classy! How fun!
I will not be participating to win the trophy, but I’ll pretend that I really want to win it!
Beautifully done! Wow! Your posts never disappoint.
Years back I set up a bowling league for my employees. My team was called The Keglers. It was great fun.
That’s really Striking”!
For a drinking group that also like about the right size for a martini glass
What a great project! I know the competition will be fierce to win this amazing trophy!
That’s great! Thanks for sharing the follow-up photos. Looks like a good time.
Well Done! The work made the event more tangible. Thanks for the pictures, smiles all around.
Awesome! Winner looks happy!
next time you can do the iron ons and have matching shirts with the image of the trophy on them
