Living hinges are a blast and a half. I love the notion of making wood flexible!
It is 3mm baltic birch plywood. Cheap stuff.
Plywood works better than solid wood for living hinges, but it can be done, carefully, with solid wood, too, but you really have to think through aligning hinge in the right direction relative to the grain of the wood.
I used a plugin for Inkscape to create a living hinge pattern and then added a rectangle to cut it out of the larger piece of wood. The buckles are some cheap thing I picked up off of amazon. âCraft bucklesâ or some such (I donât remember â oh, I put the link in a comment above ).
