Im trying to achieve the look of a stamped metal badge/plate.
So far ive tried thin metal,
tried painting the metal and lasering through the paint for a relief.
what ideas do you guys have?

You can get anodized aluminum business cards in black that you could ablate with the laser to give the black lettering on a metallic background. I think most people use a very high dpi to get the look.
Also, Oracal makes a dull metallic polyester film that is laser safe; you can engrave or cut that. I think it’s Oracal 351. Don’t get the regular permanent vinyl, those are made of PVC which is not laser safe.

I have the aura.
The cut was 10 power 10 speed 2 passes
engrave was probably a bit too high:
100 speed, 10 power, 270 lines
it went really deep

Yeah, sorry about that. We had someone going in and replacing all the links with paid affiliate links and they would not stop, so that was the solution rather than the constant maintenance or shutting it down entirely
