Cool project … how nice that you received a donation of the wood!

braille beads, or braille spheres, are what I would use for ADA-compliant signage.
Good news is that you can add them to the existing signs that you already made (if you have the space). You can make the holes with the laser, once you have properly translated braille text (spacing between dots makes a difference)
The bad news is that there is no way to add an automatic braille-bead tool to the GF (yet… interchangeable head leaves options…) so you would have to use a manual tool.
Both BF and Johnson plastic make braille beads and tools, as do as many others.
